The Evolut PRO TAVR System

Dr. Harold Dauerman from the University of Vermont Medical Center
discusses Coronary Access in TAVR Patients.

OVERVIEW:

As TAVR continues to revolutionize the way patients with aortic stenosis are treated and indications continue to move toward treating lower risk patients, the topic of post-TAVR PCI has become increasingly important.  Dr. Harrold Dauerman takes us through simple techniques that help minimize any concerns for re-accessing the coronaries post TAVR.

In this presentation you will learn techniques to assist in cannulating coronary arteries through the bioprosthesis frame, guide selection recommendations, and methods used to protect the coronary ostia from occlusion by the native leaflets during the TAVR procedure.  In conclusion Dr. Dauerman demonstrates that  by making small changes to his approach and tool selection the coronary arteries can be easily accessed through common transcatheter aortic valve frames.
