Editor's Corner

For nearly 15 years, TCTMD has offered its readers not only the latest news on interventional cardiology but also, hopefully, a growing sense of community. We seek to make the onslaught of data—from countless journals and conferences around the world—more accessible and useful. Our news section is editorially independent, and we are eager to hear opposing views. What do the findings mean for you? More importantly, what do they mean for your patients?

I have been charting the shifts in our industry since 2008 and became news editor of TCTMD this October. The other members of our website’s editorial team are Kim Dalton, Meghann Lucy, Yael L. Maxwell, L.A. McKeown, and Todd Neale. We each bring different experiences and skills to our work, as did Jason Kahn, who made our website what it is today.

We have recently created several new sections to spur the conversation. Fellows Forum, headed up by Yael L. Maxwell, is a place for interventionalists just entering the field and those who mentor them. The Heart Beat is now the home for feature articles, debates among experts, and other content that speaks to daily practice. Here in the Editor’s Corner, I will be exploring recent news and why it matters.
