Nicole Bart, MD, PhD Nicole (Nikki) Bart, MD, PhD, is a visiting academic at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She hails from Australia, where she practices as a specialist heart failure and transplant cardiologist at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. She is also a laboratory head at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute; the Bart laboratory’s research focuses on causes of heart failure, particularly infiltrative cardiomyopathies. She studied medicine at the University of New South Wales and, funded by a prestigious John Monash Scholarship, was awarded a DPhil from the University of Oxford.
