Shelley Zieroth, MD
Shelley Zieroth, MD, is a professor in the Max Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba as well as director of their heart failure (HF) and heart transplant clinics. She heads the medical HF program for Cardiac Sciences Manitoba and is the immediate past president of the Canadian Heart Failure Society. She serves on the Canadian Cardiovascular Society’s primary panels for both the HF and heart transplant guidelines, as co-chair of Canada’s largest annual HF meeting, and as the scientific planning committee chair for the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress. Her research examines the efficacy of new treatments, including food-derived bioactives, and ways of operationalizing hub-and-spoke models of HF care.
