Ashley Lyles

Ashley Lyles is the 2017 recipient of the Jason Kahn Fellowship in Medical Journalism. She is currently a graduate student in New York University’s Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program (SHERP) and a recent graduate of Michigan State University, where she earned a degree in professional writing and took premedical courses. She intends to one day have a career as a medical doctor and as a medical journalist. Her work has taken her to Honduras and Cambodia and has appeared in outlets like the New York Times Daily 360, PBS NewsHour, and the Huffington Post.
